Welcome

As someone on a mathematics training course the first thing you should do is register at the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) website since over your mathematics teaching career you should be always interested in your own professional development. REGISTER NOW AT THE NCETM by following the link below (it’s free)

This CD contains many useful and essential documents that you may need during your training and in future years as a mathematics teacher. It contains documents and files that we believe can be freely given to you, though many of them involve copyright – so please be aware of this when using them.

It has been put together so that you can find many of the documents quickly rather than have to find them on-line and then download them. It does not include everything you need – that would be an impossible task.

We hope that you find this resource easy to use and bear with us if web links are out of date. All links have been tested in the summer of 2007, so we hope that there are few problems.

We wish you all the best as you start on your career in teaching.

This is a web-version of a CD sent to ITE institutions that have secondary mathematics trainees. It contains files that are copyright free (as far as we are aware) for use for educational purposes. It was updated in September 2007 and will be updated on an annual basis: next update September 2008. All documents here are freely available elsewhere; we fully acknowledge this and all rights associated with them. We have just provided an appropriate indexing system for them and put them together in one place. We accept no responsibility for any errors, problems etc arising from use or misuse of this resource.
